About us

Entering the Maine Coon community in Vietnam in 2024 may still be considered a relatively recent step. For us, however, it was never about how long we have been present, but about how seriously we choose to approach the breed. What began as admiration gradually became a long-term commitment—one shaped by respect for the Maine Coon’s natural structure, its wild elegance, and its unmistakable presence as a true “gentle giant.”

Our preference for the red color line reflects this mindset. While not widely prioritized in many catteries, red remains one of the original foundation colors of the Maine Coon. Its association with strong bone structure and stable development, combined with its striking resemblance to a young lion, represents the balance we aim for: natural strength without exaggeration. We are aware that choosing a less common direction requires more patience, more evaluation, and often slower progress—but we consider that a necessary trade-off for consistency over time.

The name “Magnus Pride” reflects this philosophy. “Magnus,” derived from Latin, speaks to greatness—not as a claim, but as a standard to work towards. “Pride,” in our view, represents a quiet confidence in one’s direction of thinking: the willingness to remain consistent, even when it is not the most obvious path. Together, Magnus Pride forms the image of a lion’s family—symbolizing leadership, unity, and a deep-rooted connection built over time rather than declared overnight.

From the beginning, our approach has been grounded in learning and observation. We maintain ongoing engagement with experienced Maine Coon breeders internationally, while relying on established databases and shared knowledge to inform each decision. There are no shortcuts in this process—only incremental improvements, careful selection, and the discipline to remain consistent.

Magnus Pride does not position itself as a finished result, but as a work in progress. Our goal is to develop a cattery that can be recognized, over time, for its consistency, responsibility, and respect for the breed—where health, temperament, and structure are preserved and refined with each generation, rather than compromised for immediate appeal.

“Built on trust. Proven through responsibility.”
